PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The 2026 Women's Ivy League Championship concluded Saturday, as the Big Green saw two A-final performances and multiple placements on the program top-10 list.
Dartmouth finished the championship with 523.5 total points.
Prelims on Saturday morning kicked off with the 200-yard backstroke. First-year
Sena Bozkurt continued her impressive championship debut, swimming a 2:00.64 to qualify for the C-final.
Ekin Okudur also secured a spot in the C-final, posting a time of 2:02.57.
Maria Uranga also swam in the prelims for the Big Green, finishing in 2:06.63.
Carinn Bethea led the way in the 100-yard freestyle prelim, finishing just over six tenths of a second faster than her seed time to secure a spot in the A-final. Bethea finished her prelim swim in 49.24, a lifetime best and program record.
Lane Murray,
Samantha Li and
Catherine Ritter also competed in the prelims for the Big Green, posting times of 51.48, 51.69 and 53.29 respectively, but did not qualify for the finals.
The Big Green had two swimmers qualify for the B-final of the 200-yard breaststroke,
Erika Ilkiu and
Kathy Jia. The pair of teammates finished just three tenths of a second apart, as Ilkiu finished in 2:16.57 followed by Jia in 2:16.87.
Carly Joerin secured a spot in the C-final, swimming the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.92.
Jamie Legh led the way for Dartmouth in the 200-yard butterfly, earning a spot in the B-final with a prelim time of 2:01.98, over a second faster than her seed time.
Both
Lindsey Drumm and Sophie He also qualified for the Big Green and would later compete in the C-final, posting times of 2:06.26 and 2:06.35 respectively.
Through prelims, Dartmouth sat in seventh overall having posted 343.5 total points.
The finals on Saturday kicked off with the 1650-freestyle.
Izzy Mundee claimed 12
th overall, finishing in 16:44.09.
Sydney Rawie also finished for the Big Green, rounding out the top-20 with a time of 17:12.23.
Addy Domian and Joerin were the final two finishers, posting times of 17:27.55 and 17:33.74 respectively.
In the 200 backstroke, Bozkurt and Okudur scored C-final points with times of 2:00.03 and 2:02.74 respectively.
Bethea claimed fifth overall, making her second A-final appearance of the championship, swimming a 49.24 in the 100-yard freestyle, matching her lifetime best and the program record set by her in prelims Saturday morning.
In the 200-yard breaststroke finals, Jia claimed the third highest finish in the B-final, swimming a 2:15.27, over a second and a half faster than her preliminary time. Ilkiu also scored B-final points, finishing in 2:16.59.
Joerin swam the C-final of the breaststroke, finishing in 2:20.57.
In the 200 butterfly, Legh scored B-final points for the Big Green, earning the third spot in her eat with a time of 2:00.82.
He and Drumm swam in the C-final, finishing in 2:04.34 and 2:06.07 respectively.
Maggie Lambdin was the Big Green's second A-final performance of the evening, competing on the three-meter dive. The junior placed sixth overall with 287.95 points.
Finally, the Ivy League Championship concluded with the 400-yard freestyle relay. The Big Green took sixth overall as Bethea, Mundee, Li, and Murray combined for a time of 3:21.81, nearly two seconds faster than their preliminary time and earning them the third fastest time in program history. The event was also highlighted by Mundee's lifetime best split.
Dartmouth wrapped the 2026 Ivy League Championship with 523.5 total points.
"We are all especially proud of our seniors today as they wrap up their swimming careers – they played a big part in scoring points for the team throughout the week and their entire careers, and have led our tea to be one that can compete with the league," Head Coach
Milana Socha said after the championship.
While the women's season is over, the men's Ivy League Championship will take place this coming week at Princeton.
