HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's rowing team had a strong showing for senior day on Saturday morning, winning five of six races against Northeastern at the Lake Morey Invitational.
The Big Green opened the day with a victory in the Varsity Eight, crossing the line in 6:33.3, more than seven seconds ahead of Northeastern. Dartmouth carried that momentum into the Second Varsity Eight, where it posted a 6:41.2 finish to secure another comfortable win.
Dartmouth continued to control the regatta in the smaller boats. The Varsity Four recorded a time of 7:23.0, finishing over 12 seconds in front of Northeastern, while the Second Varsity Four followed with a 7:33.5 performance to add another first-place result.
In the Third Varsity Eight, the Big Green continued its dominance with a 6:48.7 finish, again outpacing Northeastern by a significant margin. Northeastern's lone victory came in the Fourth Varsity Eight, where Dartmouth placed second with a time of 7:14.2.
The Dartmouth women's rowing team will be back in action on May 2 when heading to Worcester, Mass. for the Women's Eastern Sprints.
