NEW ORLEANS, La. – Dartmouth sailing kicked off its first national championship of 2026 Thursday, competing in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (ICSA) Open Team Race National Championship, hosted at Tulane.
Through the first day of racing, the Big Green sit in tenth overall with a 5-6 record. Skippers

Madeline Koelbel, and Phoebe are sailing for Dartmouth.
Dartmouth posted wins over Charleston, Georgetown, Hobart & William, Tufts and Northwestern on day one. The Big Green fell to fellow Ivy League and reigning National Champion Harvard as well as Stanford, Roger Williams, Navy, Boston College and host Tulane.
Round 1 sailing will conclude on Friday, April 24 as the Big Green still have four races to compete in. Dartmouth will sail against Brown, St. Mary's, Penn, and Tufts.
Once the full 16 teams finish the first round, the top 8 will advance to the next round of sailing.
