Women’s Soccer to Face Bryant at Home on Sunday

Matchup History between Dartmouth and Bryant
The Big Green leads the all-time series, with a 2-0 record over the Bulldogs. The last time that Dartmouth and Bryant played against one another, the Big Green defeated Bryant, 2-1 on Nov. 3, 2008, in Smithfield, RI. In their first meeting, Dartmouth recorded a 1-0 victory over Bryant on October 14, 2009, in Hanover.

Scouting the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs hold an overall record of 2-3-2 for the 2026 season, with victories over Central Connecticut State University and the University of New Haven. In 2025, Bryant had an overall record of 5-5-8 and an American East record of 2-2-4. The Bulldogs advanced to the American East Championship Semifinals but fell to the University of Vermont, 3-1.

Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week
Ola Goebel was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, as announced by the Ivy League on Monday, September 14. Goebel had another impressive week for the Big Green, as she extended her shutout streak to three in two team victories against Holy Cross and Colgate. In NCAA Division I, Goebel is tied for third in shutouts, ranked seventh in save percentage with 90.9% and tied for 11^th in goals against average with a 0.37. She leads the Ivy League in goals against average (0.38), shutouts (5), saves (90.9), and saves per game (3.75).

In the Ivy League
As a team, Dartmouth leads the Ivy League, with the best overall record of 5-1-2. The Big Green leads the Ivy League, in the fewest goals allowed, with three goals and in saves, with 30.

IWSOC Regional Rankings
Dartmouth was ranked third in the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Coaches (IWSOC) Division I Coaches Poll, in partnership with United Soccer Coaches, in the East Region for Week Five, as announced by the IWSOC on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Strong Performances against Power-Four Opponents
On Sunday, Sept. 6, Dartmouth won 1-0 against the University of Arizona in the final game of the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Arizona. Michal Cagungun scored the game-winning goal for the Big Green and Ola Goebel recorded five saves and a shutout performance against the Wildcats. It was the first victory over a Power-Four opponent since Sept. 1, 2019, when Dartmouth defeated Syracuse, 2-0 at Burnham Field. Additionally, it was the first Power-Four victory for Stacy Branca '94 Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer, Taylor Schram.

On Thursday, Sept. 3, the Big Green led at halftime but came away, with a 1-1 tie with Arizona State in the first game of the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Arizona. Madison Rose scored for Dartmouth from the penalty spot, as it was the first goal of her collegiate career. In goal, Ola Goebel had four saves against the Sun Devils.

The 2026 Season So Far
The Big Green has an overall record of 5-1-2. Dartmouth opened the 2026 regular season with a 2-1 victory over UMass Lowell on Thursday, August 20^th at Burnham Field. Dartmouth scored two goals within the first 15 minutes of play, as Emmanuella Frimpomaa and Nadia Young scored their first goals of the season, as Maeve Theobald and Madison Rose assisted on Frimpomaa's goal. The River Hawks scored early in the second half and put pressure on the Big Green's defense; however, Dartmouth held on and earned their first victory of the season.

On Sunday, August 23^rd, Dartmouth and the University of New Hampshire played to a 0-0 tie in Durham, New Hampshire. Goalkeeper Ola Goebel recorded four saves against the Wildcats, while Nadia Young led the Big Green in shots, with four and Anna Leschly had two shots against New Hampshire.

On Thursday, August 27^th, the Big Green defeated San Francisco, 2-0 at Burnham Field. Nadia Young recorded a goal and an assist, as Stephanie Lathrop had a goal and Frankie Valverde had an assist. Ola Goebel posted a second shutout of the season, with four saves recorded against the Dons.

On Sunday, August 30, Dartmouth fell to Boston College, in a 1-0 competitive match in Newton, Massachusetts. Ola Goebel recorded a season-best of six saves in goal, while Stephanie Lathrop had a team-best of five shots against the Eagles.

On Thursday, Sept. 10, Dartmouth defeated Holy Cross, 1-0 with a game-winning goal by Tasha Udebhulu in the 74^th minute. It was the first goal of Udebhulu's career. Ola Goebel recorded her second-straight shutout and had a save against the Crusaders.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, the Big Green earned a 2-0 victory over Colgate, where Madison Rose and Emmanuella Frimpomaa scored goals. Tasha Udebhulu and Michal Cagungun tallied assists, while Ola Goebel made three saves and extended her shutout streak to three.

Coming off an Historic Season
The 2025 season for Dartmouth women's soccer was historic. The Big Green captured their first Ivy League Tournament title in program history, first coaching staff in program history to be named Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year, first Rookie of the Year recognition since 2012, five players named to All-Ivy teams, finished second place in the Ivy League for the first time since 2014 and earned an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2005.
