HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth field hockey battled #7 Harvard but fell 2-1 at Chase Field in the first Ivy League game of the season on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. Lucia Campaño scored her first goal of the season while goalkeeper Kylie McKinley had an impressive 17 saves for the Big Green. Her 17 saves are the most saves by an Ivy League goalkeeper this season.

In the first quarter, the Crimson started their offensive attack from the first whistle and put heavy pressure on the Big Green's defense. Six minutes in, Harvard got on the board. From there, the Crimson continued to record shots on goal but Kylie McKinley stayed in control. In the second quarter, Harvard found their second goal of the day. The Big Green looked to make a comeback, as the momentum shifted in their favor, as they headed into halftime down two but with determination to get on the board.

In the third quarter, Dartmouth came out of halftime ready to go as they found their goal from Lucia Campaño, right in front of the cage. Only down by a goal, the Big Green looked to find an equalizer; however, the Crimson looked to add another goal on the board. The offensive attack continued to build as McKinley and the defense did their best to hold on. In the fourth quarter, Dartmouth had a few chances towards goal; but Harvard managed to keep their lead and finish out the game with a 2-1 victory.
