DURHAM, N.H. — Dartmouth men's soccer played on the road for the first time since Sept. 15, traveling to the University of New Hampshire (UNH) on Tuesday evening. After 90 minutes of play, neither team found the back of the net, resulting in a scoreless draw.
Dartmouth moves to 3-3-2 on the season while UNH moves to 5-3-2. The all-time series favors the Big Green, which holds a 24-16-9 record against the Wildcats.
On Monday, the Ivy League announced that
Hudson Kohler was named Defensive Player of the Week. Kohler was outstanding on defense in the team's 1-0 win over No. 18 Princeton and assisted on
Eidur Baldvinsson's game-winning goal.
The sophomore defender became the first Dartmouth men's soccer player to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors since the 2023 season. Baldvinsson was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll for the week.
Dartmouth did well to limit New Hampshire's chances in the final third, forcing a majority of Wildcat shots to miss the frame. As a team, Dartmouth has held its opponents scoreless across the last 188 minutes of game time.
"Tonight was a big test for us, being on the road midweek against a good UNH team. I was proud of our effort tonight and our response in the second half after we didn't open the game particularly strong," said Bobby Clark head coach of men's soccer,
Connor Klekota. "The game forced us to grind together and battle through periods without the ball. It's great to get a result in these types of games, especially away from home, and we'll look to keep improving as we prep for the weekend."
TJ Jeffreys turned in another strong performance, recording his third clean sheet of the season and making three saves.
Olly Spicer looked to spark the Big Green offense, recording one shot in tonight's contest.
