Sailing - Open & Women's
vs Hatch Brown Trophy
Why Dartmouth?
I visited my senior year of high school and was hooked. I really can't explain it.
How long have you been sailing and what got you interested in sailing?
I started sailing during my first term at Dartmouth. When I visited as an admitted student I met some members of the team. They seemed like awesome people who were extremely enthusiastic about the sport which convinced me to give it a shot.
What Sailing or Academic achievements are you particularly proud of?
Surviving my first super breezy regatta on the Charles River which happened to be only my third or fourth regatta ever. We capsized about four times.
Tell us something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I had never experienced snow falling until I came to Dartmouth.
What are your future sailing and career plans?
What I want from sailing in the future is to simply have fun and learn as much as I can. And sail around the world.
What sports or activities did you pursue in high school, and what do you hope to continue at Dartmouth?
In high school I ran cross-country, long distance track and played ice hockey.
