NCAA East Regional Meet in Florida Up Next For Men's Team

TAMPA, Fla. – Thursday marks the start of the 2018 NCAA Outdoor East Regional for eight members of the Dartmouth men’s track & field team.

Those eight members of the team will compete in six different events at South Florida’s USF Track & Field Stadium.

The meet begins on the track Thursday at 12:30 p.m. with the 400m hurdles, an event that will see three of those eight competing in the first round of the event.

In total, six Dartmouth men will begin their regional competition in Florida on Thursday with the 3000m steeplechase and javelin competing on Friday and Saturday.

The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack in partnership with the NCAA. There is a subscription fee to watch.

Due to inclement weather expected in the Tampa area this week, a majority of events have moved up their times from their originally scheduled starts. Please see the table below and the attached schedule of events for new start times.

All eight will be looking to secure spots at the 2018 NCAA Championship Meet in Oregon June 6-9. Junior Benjamin Ose has already secured a berth at nationals in the decathlon, an event that does not compete at the regional meets as the top-scoring student-athletes during the season automatically qualify for a spot at Hayward Field next month.
