SENIOR (2020-21)
No season due to COVID-19 pandemic.
JUNIOR (2019-20)
Earned a spot on the Academic All-ivy League Fall Team for the second straight year … led the team with a career-best 73.73 stroke average over 11 rounds … finished tied for 24th out of 89 to start the fall at the Cornell Invitational … played some of his best golf in the final two fall tournaments, scoring no worse than even par in each of the five rounds … carded a 3-under 139 with 12 birdies at the Dartmouth Invitational to tie for seventh among 74 golfers, leading his squad … kept the ball rolling at the Firestone Invitational, finishing the first day tied for 12th before making a valiant effort to climb into a tie for fourth among 81 competitors … wrapped up the three rounds at an impressive 4-under with 13 birdies, the only Big Green player to finish under par … started slowly in the first spring tournament before the rest of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SOPHOMORE (2018-2019) Named All-Ivy League Second Team performer after tying for 7th at the Ivy League Championship … one of ten athletes selected for the Academic All-Ivy League Fall Team with a 3.78 GPA … earned another top-ten finish at the BCD Invitational, ended the season with the second-best stroke average on the team (74.13) … played in all nine tournaments of the season … team’s low scorer in both the home Quechee Club Challenge and the Camden Collegiate in the fall … also paced the squad at two more tournaments in the spring, including a strong showing at the Irish Creek Collegaite again, tying for 14th of 96 right before the conference tournament … won his one match play event, defeating his Brown opponent, 3 and 2, as Dartmouth picked up a 5-1 victory.
FRESHMAN (2017-18)
Ivy League Rookie of the Year … boasted the team’s second-best stroke average at 74.32, just behind senior Ian Kelsey’s 74.20 … played in each of the nine tournaments throughout the year … first top-10 finish came in third collegiate eveny, carding a 6-over 216 (+6) at the Macdonald Cup to lead the team and tie for ninth out of 81 golfers … also tied for fourth at the Cornell Spring Invitational with a 6-over 150 in the two-round tournament … led the Big Green at the Irish Ceerk Invitational with a 6-over 219, tying for 20th of 87 … missed out on All-Ivy honors by one stroke, tying for 13th at 16-over at the Ivy League Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letter winner in golf, served as team captain in junior and senior seasons … placed first in both the Founders’ League Championship as well as the New England K.O. Tournament … awarded team MVP freshman and junior year, with Coach’s Award sophomore year.
PERSONAL
Son of Tong Liu and Ruixia Li … has one brother … interested in art, music, robotics, reading and traveling.
