2018 (Senior): One of the team’s two captains… A member of the All-Ivy League Honorable Mention Team… Started in all 17 games…Tied teammate Sarah Falkson for the team lead and third in the Ivy League with five defensive saves…She posted two defensive saves against Maine…Capped her career with her final defensive save in the season finale at Cornell…Set new career highs in the offensive end of the field as well, scoring her first career goal at Columbia on 10/19. That score proved to be the game winner and gave head coach Amy Fowler the 150th win of her career…Her three assists were also a career high as she came into the season with just one in her first three years.
2017 (Junior): Appeared in all 17 games of the season and recorded one point... Her lone assist came against Harvard on 10/28 in the Big Green's last road Ivy game of the season... She tied the team high in defensive saves with four.
2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in 17 games... recorded an assist at home vs. Yale on 10/15.
2015 (Freshman): Played in five games, including three Ivy League contests... did not register a point.
Before Dartmouth: A team captain at Severna Park in 2014, helping her team to its second of consecutive MPSSAA 4A State Championship titles (2013-2014) ... A 2013 Harrow Sports/NFHCA Regional All-American selection for Maryland ... A 2013 Maryland Field Hockey Coaches Association All-State Second-Team player ... Tabbed by the Baltimore Sun in 2014 as a member of their First Team.
Personal: Daughter of Joe and Lynn Valvano...Has one brother...Her maternal grandfather ran track at Virginia Tech (1958-62) and is a three-time Washington's Birthday Marathon winner (’63, ’67 & ’68) and finished fourth at the 1967 Boston Marathon.
