Bio
One of the Ivy League’s more underrated defensive tackles, Dwyer is a steady performer and experienced lineman who excels against the run.
JUNIOR (2010)
Started every game at defensive tackle, stretching his streak of starts to 19 ... recorded at least one stop in each of the 10 contests ... his 30 tackles ranked third on the team among the linemen ... brought down five Bulldogs when playing Yale, including one behind the line of scrimmage ... posted the second-most tackles in the Harvard game with a career-high seven, six being solo stops ... also wrapped up a receiver for a two-yard loss against the Crimson ... registered one of Dartmouth’s school-record 10 sacks at Cornell ... came up with a big third-down stop to force the Big Red to punt in the third quarter with the Green clinging to a four-point lead.
SOPHOMORE (2009)
Started each of the final nine games as a defensive tackle ... second on the team with two sacks, one each against Colgate and Columbia ... both sacks came on third down ... also assisted on tackles behind the line of scrimmage against the Raiders, Cornell and Princeton ... had at least one tackle in all 10 contests ... posted four stops on three occasions — versus Colgate, Penn and the Big Red ... also broke up a pass in the double-overtime win over Cornell.
FRESHMAN (2008)
Began the season with the jayvee squad, picking up four tackles against Middlebury ... played in the final four varsity games, garnering four tackles in his first action versus Harvard ... had an assisted tackle for a loss at home against Brown.
HIGH SCHOOL
Registered seven touchdown catches as a senior and chosen all-state as defensive end ... earned three letters in football and three in basketball, captaining both teams ... chosen to Massachusetts Super 26 All-State team and 2008 Shrine Game ... Middlesex League all-star in football and basketball for final two years at Woburn.
