Has proven his dedication to the coaches by finding his focus on the field ... poised for a breakout senior season at nose guard ... low center of gravity and quickness off the ball make him a difficult assignment for opposing linemen.
JUNIOR (2010)
Worked his way back up the depth chart to gradually earn more playing time as the season wore on ... after missing the first two games, returned to the site of his stellar freshman debut to make a solo stop in the fourth quarter at Penn ... both tackles at Cornell came on third down and went for losses — one being a seven-yard sack — forcing punts after each one ... chipped in on an eight-yard sack of the Brown quarterback the following week ... closed the year with a season-high five tackles in the 31-0 triumph at Princeton, including another half-sack on a third down.
SOPHOMORE (2009)
Started the first three contests at middle linebacker and played in the next three before missing out on the final four gridiron battles ... recorded a career-high 13 tackles in the season opener versus Colgate, six coming in the fourth quarter ... at sixth-ranked New Hampshire, came up with eight more stops, one dropping a running back for a six-yard loss ... stalled out two Quaker drives in the second half with solo tackles on third down versus Penn ... posted two more third-down stops at Yale, one coming inside the red zone.
FRESHMAN (2008)
Sat the first two games with an injury, then quickly made a name for himself by forcing a fumble on his first tackle ... scooped the ball up and returned it 16 yards to the Penn one, setting up the first Big Green score that tied the game at seven in the second quarter ... posted a season-high seven tackles (four solo) the next week versus Yale in his first of five consecutive starts ... those four solo tackles held the runner to no yards twice and a total loss of six yards on the other two ... had five tackles, including his first career sack for a loss of eight yards, at Cornell ... also assisted on a tackle for a four-yard loss against the Big Red … bookended his season by sitting the final two games with an injury.
HIGH SCHOOL
Team defensive MVP as a junior and senior ... had 81 tackles including 23 for a loss and 29 quarterback hurries ... forced two fumbles, recovered two and blocked five kicks ... selected for “Diamond in the Rough Award” as a junior ... first player from school to make all-district ... threw the shot as well.
PERSONAL
