2019-20 (Senior):
Named an alternate captain... Posted the primary assist on Matt Baker’s game-winning goal against No. 2 Cornell (12.7)...Netted his first goal of the year on the breakaway at Princeton (1.3)...Scored the first Dartmouth goal in the home win against St. Lawrence (1.18)...Scored the game’s opening goal at No. 1 Cornell (1.24)... Scored another first-period goal at Colgate (1.25) the following night along with an assist for his first multi-point game in two years...Notched his fifth goal of the season in the first period against Brown (2.14)...Scored at home against Union (2.28) in a 5-3 home win.
2018-19 (Junior):
Played in 30 games, His first goal of the season was the game winner in the third period against No. 16 Cornell (11.30), helping Bob Gaudet to his Dartmouth-record 309th victory...Scored again the following night, helping the Green earn a point with a 2-2 tie against visiting Colgate...Had an assist at Boston University (12.14)...Set up Alex Jasiek's goal against Providence (12.30) in the Ledyard Classic... His final point of the season was an assist on the lone Dartmouth goal of the quarterfinal's first game at Harvard (3.15).
2017-18 (Sophomore):
Named the recipient of the McInnis Award, presented to the team’s Sportsman of the Year...His 1st goal of the season started Dartmouth’s comeback in a 5-4 win at No. 2 Denver (12.16), also picked up the assist on the GWG...Notched the final goal in Dartmouth’s 7-3 win at RPI (2.9)...Scored the game-winning goal from center ice in the 3-2 upset of No. 7 Clarkson (2.16)...Notched the first goal of Game 1 at Harvard (3.9).
2016-17 (Freshman):
Appeared in 28 games in his first season for the Big Green, recording 10 goals and 3 assists...Added his fifth goal of the season in a shootout victory vs. Army on Dec. 30...Scored the first of 5 for the Big Green in a shutout victory on home ice vs. Princeton on Jan. 6...Lit the lamp in 2 out of his last 3 games to complete the first-year campaign...Finished tied for the league lead in goals scored by a rookie with nine. The Montana native led all first-year ECAC rookies in goals per game (0.35) and was the only newcomer who played in at least half of his team’s games in 2017-18 without being whistled for a penalty, an impressive feat given his style of play and minutes logged.
Before Dartmouth:
The first player ever to come to Dartmouth from Big Sky Country, Cam calls Billings, Montana, home. Prior to juniors, he played for the Colorado Rampage Hockey Association for two years. In 76 games for the T1EHL U18 team, he tallied 41 points. Strong then went on to wear the jersey of the Topeka RoadRunners of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He played in over 100 games in his two years in Topeka and had a scoring line of 28-47-75. This past season, he captained the RoadRunners and led his team with plus-19 rating, and for his efforts was named team MVP. He also received the Heart Award, which recognizes a RoadRunner player who best exemplifies commitment, sacrifice and work ethic. Topeka had a .640 winning percentage in Strong's two seasons with the team.
Personal: Cam is the son of Doug Strong and Tenley Slayton and has two sisters.
