A former Dartmouth player, Lovejoy returned to his alma mater after retiring from the NHL following 11 seasons as a player.
A 2016 Stanley Cup Champion as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Lovejoy also played for the Anaheim Ducks, New Jersey Devils and Dallas Stars during his playing days. He used his day with the Stanley Cup to bring it back to Dartmouth, spending the day around campus before hosting an event open to the public at Thompson Arena that afternoon.
Lovejoy played three seasons on the blueline with the Big Green from 2004-07, earning ECAC Hockey Third-Team honors as a senior.
He joined Koenig Family Head Coach Bob Gaudet ’81 on staff in 2019-20 as a volunteer assistant coach.
