2018-19 (Junior):
Scored twice and finished with three points in the 7-6 OT win against Harvard on Oct. 27, including setting up the game winner...Named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week for the second time in his career on Oct. 29 thanks to his 3-point night vs. the Crimson...Had an assist at Brown (11.9)...Ended his drought with a goal against UNH (12.7)...Had an assist at Bentley (1.5)...Had an assist against St. Lawrence (1.25)...Picked up a helper vs. RPI (2.8)...Brought a 15-game goalless drought to an end with his fourth of the season coming at SLU (2.16)...Assisted on the game winner vs. SLU (3.8) in Game 1.
2017-18 (Sophomore):
The runaway winner of the Manser Award, voted on by his teammates as the most improved player of the year…Second on the team in scoring with 22 points, while his 11 goals were the most on the roster...Led the team with a plus-7... Part of “The Timber Line” with Will Graber and Quin Foreman who amassed 63 points (27-36-63) in 26 games together from mid-December on...Scored the 1st two goals of his season, including the GWG, at No. 2 Denver (12.16)...Scored GTG against No 17 UMD in Ledyard finale...Had a goal and two assists vs. RPI (1.6)...Scored at St. Lawrence (1.19)...Scored at home against Harvard (2.2) for the second year in a row...Had a career night at RPI, becoming the first Dartmouth player in 40 years with 6 points in a game when he scored twice and posted 4 assists...Named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week (Feb. 13)...Scored a breakaway goal vs. No. 7 Clarkson (2.16)...Scored once and assisted on two more in 6-4 win at Yale...Tied Game 1 of the SLU series late in the 2nd period (3.2).
2016-17 (Freshman):
Appeared in 26 games during his first season in Hanover, scoring 1 goal and adding 6 assists for 7 points...First assist for the Big Green was at Vermont on Nov. 15...Assisted the game-winning goal at Robert Morris on Nov. 27...Had a career night in an 8-4 home victory vs. No. 6 Harvard, scoring the first goal of his career and adding a pair of assists.
Before Dartmouth: Started this past year playing for the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL), but was traded in early February to the Janesville Jets (NAHL). In his short time with the Jets, Sellar played in a total of 19 games, registering 15 points. Prior to juniors, Shane played prep hockey at the Canterbury School for three years. His team earned a berth in the NEPSA Small School Tournament during his junior year. As a senior, he captained the Saints and at year's end was recognized for his leadership and overall commitment when he received the Coaches Award. Shane also experienced considerable success through USA Hockey as he has participated in four Select Festivals. In 2014-15, while playing split-season AAA Midgets for the Connecticut Junior Wolfpack, he won a Connecticut Hockey Conference Championship. That title earned the Wolfpack a bid to the Tier 1 Nationals, where they went on to win a National Championship at the U18 Level.
Personal: Shane is the son of Michael and Carol Sellar and has one sister...Enjoys grilling and golfing...Lived in Sweden for a year when he was 13.
