Fall 2009: Billy got off to a terrific start to his 2009 season, reaching the finals of the Brown Invitational in his respective flight and achieving a 3-1
singles record in Providence. Billy scored three consecutive wins against players from Colgate, Boston College, and Bucknell before falling in a tough three set final.
Fall 2008: Billy went 2-2 in the fall, reaching the quaterfinals of the Dartmouth Invitational, beating St. Francis and McGill along the way. Along with his teammate, Billy also scored his first collegiate doubles victory against Saint Francis in the same tournament.
High School: Bill was a four year varsity athlete in tennis at Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a freshman he was an OHSAA State Doubles Finalist, as a sophomore and junior his team was Ohio High School Team Champions and State Singles Qualifier as a junior, and as a senior he was the Ohio High School State Doubles Champion. Bill was Cincinnati Player of the Year and First Team CHL and All-City First Team as a freshman, CHL MVP and GCTA 1st Singles as a junior, and All-Ohio First Team and All-City as a senior. At Dartmouth, Bill plans on studying Economics.
Bill is the son of Harry and Laurie Strunk and he has one brother. His uncle, Jim Bosse, played tennis at Northwestern.
