As a Junior (24-25):
Bow seat of the Varsity 8 ... won the Durand Cup.
As a Sophomore (23-24):
Bow seat of the Varsity 8... won the Durand Cup for first time in 12 years... won the Subin Cup ... Placed fourth at Eastern Sprints and fifth at the IRA.
As a First-Year (22-23):
Started in the Varsity 8 boat ... finished season in the JV freshman boat that made the IRA Final.
Before Dartmouth: Sam's successful high school rowing career earned him a number of accolades, participating in and placing in a number of national and championship events. He received the Laura Rauchfuss Award his senior year as a result of his record-breaking career as well as serving as captain. He was also on high honor roll and a member of the chess club.
Personal: The son of Tom and Katherine Terry is majoring in politics, philosophy, and economics. Has three siblings, Margaret, Will and John. Sam has traveled extensively; he spent two years living in Amsterdam and five weeks solo backing Europe in 2022.
