Ashley Weingartz joined the Dartmouth softball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2023 season.
"We're very happy to bring Ashley on board and to welcome her to the Dartmouth softball family," head coach Jen Williams said. "She will have an immediate impact on our defense and is eager to get to work. We look forward to welcoming her to The Woods in 2023!"
During the 2025 season, with Head Coach Jen Williams at the helm, Weingartz helped coach four athletes to All-Ivy recognition. Alaana Panu was named unanimous First Team, Jenna Brown was named Second Team and Academic All-Ivy while Jensin Hall and Faby Serna were named Honorable Mentions. Panu also added an NFCA Third Team All-Region honor at the conclusion of the season who with Weingartz's guidance held a perfect fielding percentage all season.
Weingartz joins the Big Green following a stint at Hofstra as an assistant coach during the 2022 season. She worked primarily with defense and coached first base throughout the season. Weingartz was involved in the day-to-day operations of the program, which included practice planning, scouting reports and coordination of video and travel.
She helped lead the Pride to a third-place regular season finish in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), as Hofstra finished the year with a 13-6 conference record.
After the 2022 campaign, four members of the Pride were honored with post season conference awards. Weingartz aided Meghan Giordano and Chelsea Manto to first-team All-CAA honors, while Amanda Maffucci earned second-team status. Julia Apsel was named to the CAA All-Rookie team while Weingartz was on staff with the Pride.
Prior to her time with Hofstra, Weingartz spent time at South Carolina as a graduate assistant manager. She assisted with all aspects of operations for the softball program and served as the assistant to the Gamecock's pitching coach during bullpen sessions. Her duties extended to development of scouting reports of opposing teams through video and statistical analysis.
As a player, Weingartz played four years of softball in her home state at East Carolina University. The Greenville, North Carolina native appeared in 134 games for the Pirates, recording 73 hits, 37 walks, 30 RBI and 29 runs.
Weingartz served as the softball program's representative for ECU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also founded the Student-Athlete Pen Pal (SAPP) program, which provided 50 fifth grade students with student-athlete pen pals.
Her experience is not limited to college softball, as she served as the head coach for the Irmo Bombers 12U team. Weingartz was also the lead catching instructor for the Trenholm Little League Pitching and Catching Camp and was an instructor at the Jen Schroeder Catching Retreat and Next Level Training Center.
Weingartz is involved in numerous realms with Little League, as she serves as a host committee member, social media and intern coordinator for the Little League Softball World Series. She helped plan and implement a year-round social media strategy on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the LLSWS and managed the recruitment and hiring process for a team of interns.
"I am incredibly honored and excited to join the Dartmouth softball staff," Weingartz said. "Dartmouth College and the culture of Big Green softball are very impressive and form an environment I'm excited to be a part of. I am eager to begin building relationships with the student athletes, staff, and greater campus community and contribute to a championship 2023 season!"
Weingartz graduated summa cum laude from East Carolina in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Sports Studies. She then earned her master's degree in Sport and Entertainment Management in May 2021 from the University of South Carolina.
