Jazmine Esparza joined the Dartmouth softball staff as an assistant coach in September 2026.

Esparza joins the Big Green from Colby Community College, where she had served as head coach since July 2024.

At Colby, Esparza led the team to multiple on-the-field and off-the-field achievements and mentored student-athletes to achieve all-conference honors and secure college athletic scholarships.

Before Colby, Esparza spent two seasons, from August 2022 to July 2024, as an assistant coach at Kansas Wesleyan University and was an assistant coach at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California, in 2021-22.

As a student-athlete at the University of Central Florida, Esparza started during the 2016-21 seasons. During her senior season, she played first base, catcher, and outfield, batting .349 and ranking 29th in the nation with 15 doubles. Esparza was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team, First Team All-Conference, and National Fastpitch Coaches Association Mideast All-Conference.

Esparza graduated from UCF with a bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science in 2020, and from Kansas Wesleyan University with a master's degree in sports management in 2024.
