Delaney Schafer joined the Dartmouth sports medicine staff as an athletic trainer in 2022, primarily working with women's basketball.
Schafer came to Hanover following a three-year stint with the Austin Peay athletic training staff. With the Governors, she was most recently the primary athletic trainer for women's basketball and soccer. She previously served as the primary trainer for softball, volleyball and beach volleyball. Schafer attended all practices and events for assigned teams while evaluating injuries and designing rehabilitation programs for student-athletes, along with overseeing Austin Peay's graduate assistants.
Schafer previously gained experience working as a physical therapist at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire and as a trainer for Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzy, New Hampshire.
Schafer received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Keene State and is currently working toward a master's in healthcare administration through Austin Peay.
