Q and A with Cara
Why did you choose Dartmouth?
I liked the balance between academics and athletics, because both are very important to me. Also, when I visited the campus, I liked the laid-back atmosphere and sense of community.
How long have you been competing in track and what got you interested?
I decided to try track in 8th grade because some of my friends were doing it. My older sister was a jumper, so I tried those events as well and really enjoyed them.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I did gymnastics for 10 years.
What extra curricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I am part of the Thetford Mentors program, which is a group of student-athletes that goes to an elementary school in the area to mentor students every week.
