Q and A with Olivia
Why did you choose Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth after coming on my recruiting trip. I absolutely loved the
team and the campus. I got a great feel for the school and decided Dartmouth was
the right choice for me.
How long have you been competing in track and what got you interested?
I've been competing in track since freshman year of high school. I actually wasn't
interested at first, since I was a soccer player. But, luckily for me, the soccer
coach was also the girls track and field coach so he encouraged me to do it.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
Something interesting about myself? Hm. I don't know if this is very interesting
but when I was younger, and more into soccer, I met Mia Hamm in a local grocery
store and my mom convinced me to walk up to her and get her autograph.
What are your future plans, if any?
I'm hoping to create my own major in Communications and eventually be involved
in media. As of now, I think I want to focus on the television side of communications
for my future job.
What extra curricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I'm a member of the DOC and I'm hoping to become a SAPA and involved
in DTV. Other than that, the majority of my time is involved in school and track.
When I do have free time, I use it to do school work.
