Gregg DiNardo, Ed.D., joined Dartmouth Athletics as Deputy Athletics Director for Business Strategy and Operations in May 2024 following a stint of more than 13 years at Amherst College, where he most recently served as associate director of athletics.
In this role at Dartmouth, DiNardo is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to significant business and resource functions, operations and activities. That includes capital projects, facilities, event management, financial management, information technology and equipment operations.
DiNardo was first hired at Amherst, his alma mater, in the summer of 2010 and founded Amherst LEADS, a comprehensive leadership development program dedicated to student-athletes. In 2015, he was promoted to assistant director of athletics, responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities, intramurals and event management. DiNardo was elevated once again in 2016 to associate director of athletics, playing a key role in the department's day-to-day operations, as well as long-term strategy and planning. In this role, he headed several capital projects and facility upgrades, including renovations to the Mammoths' baseball and softball fields, as well as a new tennis facility, in addition to oversight of the budget office.

During the early years of his tenure at Amherst, DiNardo also spent six years as an assistant coach for the men's hockey team and helped lead the Mammoths to NESCAC titles in 2012 and 2015, eventually appearing in the Frozen Four during both of those seasons.
DiNardo worked in credit sales for BNP Paribas following his 2001 graduation and later began his career in collegiate athletics with internships at both MIT and Harvard. Since August 2023, he has served as a visiting lecturer at UMass Amherst's McCormack School of Sport Management.
DiNardo earned his master's in business administration from Cornell in 2009 and recently earned his Ed.D from Vanderbilt in 2023. He was a four-year member of the men's ice hockey team while earning an economics degree during his undergraduate experience at Amherst.
