James Willocks joined the Dartmouth College staff in the summer of 2013, with a brief sabbatical back to his homeland of New Zealand. Willocks is assistant coach for Dartmouth Mens Rugby Club as well as assisting Spencer Brown with strength and conditioning for Dartmouth Football.
Willocks comes to the Big Green from the University of Otago where he graduated with a Bachelors degree with a double major in exercise science and exercise prescription. Willocks previously worked as an intern for the Otago ITM Cup rugby team in New Zealand, where he also played 4 years of Premier Level rugby for the Alhambra Union Rugby Club.
Willocks is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also certified in the FMS movement screen.
Along with his Dartmouth duties, Willocks also assists in coaching the USA Mens Collegiate All American Rugby team. This involves identifying, coaching and touring with the top collegiate players and prospects in the USA.
Willocks currently lives in Hanover with his wife Whitaker and daughter Charlie.
