Mallory Poole is in her first season as an assistant coach with the women's lacrosse team.
"We are thrilled to have Mallory
join the Dartmouth lacrosse staff as she brings enthusiasm, knowledge
and an incredible work ethic to our program," said Patton at the time of her arrival. "Her
experiences as a player both at C.W. Post and at the US level will
bring a new perspective to our program. Mallory is a confident,
energetic and passionate teacher of the game and we are all looking
forward to working with her"
Poole comes to Dartmouth after a
storied career at C.W. Post, where she earned countless honors while
helping the Pioneers to three-straight NCAA Tournaments and a National
Championship in 2007. Poole was a four-time IWLCA All-American and was
named to the NCAA Division II All-Tournament team three times, earning
MVP honors in 2007.
The accolades poured in for Poole during
her senior year when she was a Tewaarton Award nominee for the nation's
top player and the IWLCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She was also the
East Coast Conference Player of the Year and the Inside Lacrosse and
WomensLacrosse.com Midfielder of the Year.
Since 2006, Poole
has served as a coach for the Liberty Lacrosse girls high school travel
team. She has also worked various camps including Black Diamond
Lacrosse and Pro-Performance.
In addition to her collegiate
experience, Poole is a member of the United States National program,
playing for Coach Patton's Developmental Team in 2007-08 and serving as
an alternate for the Elite team's Prague Cup roster.
A native of Corning, N.Y., Poole graduated from C.W. Post in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in physical education.
