Kate Davison ’07 joined the Big Green as the second assistant in 2009. Her duties include assisting with varsity and novice crews, as well as recruiting.
Davison
returns to Hanover after a four-year career with the Big Green women’s
crew team from 2003-07. While a member of the Big Green, she placed
eighth in varsity eights at the NCAA Championships and fifth at Eastern
Sprints in her final season. Davison was a member of the U.S. Under-23
National Team in 2006 and won the gold medal in the women’s eight at
the World Championships in Belgium. She graduated with a degree in
psychology in 2007.
Since her graduation, Davison has been a
full-time kindergarten and preschool teacher at the Bedford Youth
Performing Company in Bedford, N.H. She also taught dance classes at
Bedford High School and in after school programs at local elementary
and middle schools.
Last spring she was a volunteer
assistant coach for the Concord High School women’s crew team and also
biked from Concord, N.H., to Vancouver, B.C., as part of the Bike and
Build program, which raises awareness of the need for affordable housing.
