Seniors ruled the hardcourts this weekend with two women being equally important to their team and earning co-athletes of the week honors. Senior Matt Giegerich closed out his Dartmouth career at home with victories in matches against Yale and Brown. Women's basketball earned a rare sweep of Cornell and Columbia, thanks to dueling 20 ppg averages by Cy Lippold and Ice Quinones, dubbed the Ice and Cy show by the broadcaster at Columbia.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
