Eddie Albert was dominant on the mound this weekend for the Big Green. He made his team leading ninth start against Cornell, allowing only one run on three hits in seven innings. This is now the third time this year Albert has allowed only one run in a start.
His seven innings pitched was both a season and career high. More impressively, Albert struck out 11 Big Red batters, another season and career high. He struck out the side in the second inning, throwing only three balls in the frame. Two weeks ago, at Brown, Albert fanned seven batters in his start, setting a season and career high he would go on to break against Cornell.
