John Steel Hagenbuch claimed his third straight individual national championship at this year’s national championship in Utah, winning the 7.5K classic race by 5.7 seconds. Hagenbuch posted the fastest lap time on two of the three laps, earning the win with a combined time of 18:25.3. He also skied to a second-place finish in the 20K freestyle race, just four tenths of a second out of first place. Hagenbuch, who earned two First Team All-American honors at this year’s championship, finishes his career with three individual championships and as a seven time First-Team All-American.
