PARK CITY, UTAH – The Big Green continued competition in the 2026 Skiing National Championship, Friday, as
Oscar Zimmer led the way for the alpine team, winning the individual national championship on the slalom.

After the third day of competition, Dartmouth is in sixth place with 222 total points.

Zimmer finished his first run in 47.20, leading the field with just over a half a second lead heading into run two. With the lead after run one, Zimmer would be the final skier to compete in run two.

In warm weather and tough conditions, Zimmer posted a 46.57 second run, posting a combined time of 1:33.77, winning the race by just over two tenths of a second to claim his first individual national championship and claim First-Team All-America honors.

"What a way to end my career in college, I'm just super happy," Zimmer said after the race. "[Conditions were] pretty soft, it was really hot out…  but it's equal for everyone, I had a great run so I'm just super happy."

Zimmer is the first alpine skier to take home an individual national championship since Tanguy Nef '20 won the giant slalom in 2019.

Calum Langmuir was the other Dartmouth finisher, claiming 29
th overall. Langmuir finished his first run in 1:11.30 before capitalizing on an early second run to post the fastest time, 43.59, to post a combined time of 1:54.89.

Heming Sola also skied for the Big Green but did not finish his first run.

On the women's side,
Emma Resnick led the way for the Big Green, redeeming herself after not finishing the Giant Slalom race on Wednesday. Resnick posted a 47.45 first run time, the 12
th fastest of the field. She then skied a 50.1 second run, claiming 13
th overall with a combined time of 1:37.60, just over two-tenths of a second out of All-America status.

Carly Elsinger also skied for Dartmouth, finishing in 21
st. Elsinger posted a 47.93 first run time, followed by a 50.72 second run, finishing the race with a time of 1:38.65, scoring double digit points for the Big Green.

Zoe Zimmermann also raced the slalom, but did not finish her first run.

While alpine competition at the 2026 National Championship has concluded, the Nordic team will officially close the championship on Saturday, skiing the 20K mass start at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center.
