HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men's basketball team will be trying to make it five wins in the last six games Wednesday night when it
visits Quinnipiac of the Northeast Conference.
The Big Green brings a 5-4 record into the game, the team's best nine-game start since the 2001-02 season. The Bobcats fell to 4-5 after
losing at Connecticut on Sunday, 82-49.
Dartmouth, which is coming off an 88-52 drubbing of Division III Daniel Webster, is kicking off a four-game road swing that will see
the Big Green play at Army Saturday, at Siena on New Year's Eve and then open the Ivy League season at Harvard on Jan. 2. The next home
game isn't until Jan. 11 when Harvard and new coach Tommy Amaker invade Leede Arena.
Junior forward Alex Barnett tops Dartmouth and the Ivy League in scoring (16.0 ppg), rebounding (6.7 rpg) and blocked shots (1.9 bpg).
Junior guard DeVon Mosley is second on the squad in scoring (14.4 ppg) while senior forward John Ball is second in rebounding (5.7 rpg).
Chosen eighth in the preseason Ivy League basketball poll, Dartmouth is third in Basketball-U's latest Ivy League power rankings behind
Brown (5-4) and Cornell (4-2).
Dartmouth and Quinnipiac have met nine times on the hardwood with the Bobcats holding a 5-4 lead. The Big Green won last year in Hanover,
56-53. Quinnipiac took the last meeting in Hamden, Conn., 88-77, two years ago.
