Dartmouth's Pidermann Wins Two Events for Men's Track and Field
MEDFORD, Mass. - Dartmouth freshman Pete Pidermann (Hialeah, Fla.) won the 110 and 400 hurdles as the Big Green men's track and field team competed at the Tufts Snowflake Classic on Saturday.
Pidermann's time in the 110 hurdles was 15.43 and he won the 400 hurdles by four one-hundredths of a second in 54.47.
Junior Randall McKnight (West Windsor, N.J.) won the triple jump by 1/2 inch with his leap of 47-5, while freshman Dan Ostrovsky (Wellesley Hills, Mass.) took the javelin with 176-4.
Senior
Rob Kerris (Elysburg, Pa.) won the discus by more than 10 feet, throwing 161-2. He also was third in the shot with 51-2 3/4. Dartmouth's 4 x 400 relay had a winning time of 3:24.63.
Junior
Brian Evans (Fairfield, Texas) was the runner-up in both the 100 meter dash (10.97) and the 200 (22.25). In the 400 meters, junior
Charlie Stoebe (Westport, Conn.) was second in 49.11, and junior
Derrick Vinklarek (Shiner, Texas) tied for second in the pole vault, clearing 14-2 3/4.
In the long jump, freshman Mike Poppler (Metairie, La.) had a second-place showing with 22-7.
