HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team swept all six singles matches to cruise to a 6-1 win over Fairleigh Dickinson to close out the indoor season at the Boss Tennis Center.
The singles looked very tight for awhile with the Big Green and FDU splitting the first sets. Sophomore Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.), junior Justin Tzou (Cupertino, Calif.), and senior captain Ari Gayer (Hollis, N.Y.) took care of business in a hurry by winning their matches in straight sets, putting Dartmouth up 3-1. Dartmouth's top singles player, junior Daniel Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.) brought home the fourth singles win and team match point with his tie break victory for the match 2-6,7-5,7-6 (5), which came against the FDU player that he lost to during the fall season.
Sophomores Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and Bryan Song (Hoover, Ala.) also won their matches giving the Big Green a final score of 6-1.
The Dartmouth men's tennis team will take a break from competition and resume play in Southern California for its annual spring break trip, beginning on March 21 at Cal Poly.
