Men's Tennis
vs Dartmouth Invite #1

HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team dropped the important doubles point to start the match and couldn't recover as the Big Green fell to Yale by the score of 6-1.
The important doubles point once again eluded the Big Green. At number one, the team of sophomore Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and freshman Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) held to 5 five-all before a slight let down led to a break and a very hard fought loss. The No. 2 team of sophomore Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) and senior captain Ari Gayer (Hollis, N.Y.) won their match in a tie break, while the No 3 team of freshman Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) and junior Justin Tzou (Cupertino, Calif.) had a rough road losing 8-3.
After losing the doubles point Dartmouth knew that it was an up hill battle, but was not going down easy as Ho got the Big Green on the board with a routine 6-4,6-1 victory over fellow freshman Eric Blumenkranz. Greif playing No. 1 gave Jeff Dawson a tough run in his 6-4,6-4 loss as did Roby at No. 2 in his 7-5, 7-5 lost to Connor Dawson. Tzou at No. 3 and Gayer split sets but were not able to bring home a point as the Big Green dropped the match, 6-1.
Dartmouth finishes its road season on Sunday with a showdown at Brown with the Bears at 12 p.m.
