PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The undermanned Dartmouth men's tennis team pulled off an impressive upset at the top two doubles spots at Brown to bring home the doubles point, but ultimately fell to the Bears by the score of 6-1.
Dartmouth (1-9, 0-6 Ivy) got off to a good start as the Big Green earned the doubles point. At No. 1 doubles, the pair of sophomore Stephen Greif (San Antonio, Texas) and freshman Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) won the first match of the day by an 8-6 margin, while at No. 2 sophomore Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) and senior captain Ari Gayer (Hollis, N.Y.) squeezed by the Brown team of Chris Lee and Basu Radnam with a 9-7 win.
Singles was a different story for Dartmouth as the Big Green dropped all singles matches by straight sets.
The Big Green wrap up its season on Wednesday at the Boss Tennis Center as Dartmouth faces Harvard at 3 p.m. on Senior Day.
