RALEIGH, N.C. - The Dartmouth (2-4) women's volleyball team dropped its last two games at NC State's Raleigh Crabtree Valley Marriott Classic on Saturday, Sept. 12. Morgan Covington (Katy, Texas) was named to the All-Tournament team.

In the first match of the day Rutgers (3-6) took the first two sets before Dartmouth rallied in the third for the win in the third set. The Big Green took the fourth before RU bounced back and won the fifth and final set for the 3-2 victory. Scores were 23-25, 16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 7-15. In the nightcap host NC State (6-5) and Dartmouth split the first two sets of the match before The Pack took the third. The Big Green took the fourth but it was State that rallied for the victory in the fifth set for the 3-2 win. Scores were 25-20, 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 8-15.

Covington earned All-Tournament honors after the senior had four total blocks against Rutgers with six coming against NC State. Against Rutgers, Madeline Baird (Austin, Texas) recorded a double-double with 19 kills and 16 digs while Megan MacGregor (Carlsbad, Calif.) also had a double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs. Brianne Hucek (Joliet, Ill.) and Amber Bryant (Libertyville, Ill.) both paced Dartmouth with 25 digs apiece.

Against NC State Baird again had a double-double with a game-high 20 kills and 14 digs while MacGregor had 16 kills and digs. Bryant had her second game in a row with 20 or more digs.

The Big Green will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Providence before coming home to host the Dartmouth Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Sept. 18-19.
