BOLTON, Mass. — After the first round of the Harvard Invitational at The International Golf Course, the Dartmouth women's golf team finds itself trailing the other six Ivy League teams with host Harvard in the lead with a 303 (+15). Freshman Sarah Knapp (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) posted the best round for the Big Green with a 37-41—78 (+6), while Yale's Seo Hee Moon has the lead with a 37-37—74 (+2).
Knapp recorded a pair of birdies in her round, as did junior Kathleen Quirk (Kansas City, Mo.), who was playing as an individual for Dartmouth. Only four other golfers had more birdies in their round, three of whom played for Yale.
Both senior Katie Gulemi (Fairfield, Conn.) and sophomore Colleen Carroll (Bettendorf, Iowa) carded an 87 (+15), while junior Heather Roland (Newtown Square, Pa.) and sophomore Julie Campbell (Bozeman, Mont.) each had an 88 (+16).
