New Month, New Outlook
• Dartmouth begins December having won its final game of November, a convincing 80-63 triumph over Colgate for its first home victory of the season. A win here in Burlington would give the Big Green consecutive victories for the first time since road wins at Penn and Princeton on Feb. 20-21, 2009.
• Dartmouth has a 1-2 record on the road, but that win came at another America East team, Hartford, on Nov. 19.
• In the win over the Raiders, six Big Green players scored in double figures, the first time even five had accomplished the feat in the same game since Nov. 10, 2007 in a 98-87 win over VMI.
• Senior co-captain Clive Weeden led the charge with his third career double-double, tallying 14 points while snatching 12 rebounds. His last double-double came against Vermont last year.
• Leading rebounder David Rufful (6.5 rpg) played just 20 minutes due to a foot injury, but he is expected to play against the Catamounts.
• Junior Jabari Trotter is the only player for Dartmouth averaging in double figures at 12.3 points per game.
Series vs. Vermont
• This is the 96th game between the two schools, with Dartmouth sporting a 58-37 record.
• Vermont has had most of the success of late, going 10-1 in the series since the calendar changed to 2000 including a 63-58 win last year in Hanover.
• The lone Big Green win in the last 11 years came at Leede Arena three years ago, 76-75. The last win in Burlington came on Nov. 18, 1998, in a 69-64 triumph.
• The first intercollegiate game in Dartmouth history was a 46-10 triumph against the Catamounts back on Dec. 15, 1900. The Green won the first 13 meetings and 29 of the first 31.
• The first game in Leede Arena was also against Vermont, an 86-76 Dartmouth victory.
Scouting the Catamounts
• While early-season RPI ratings are a little misleading, Vermont still has a rating of 17 after starting 4-1 with road wins at Siena and Quinnipiac and a 16-point loss at Connecticut.
• Before thumping NJIT on Saturday, the Catamounts squeaked out a 51-48 win in their home opener against Loyola (Md.), failing to connect on a three-pointer in the game.
• Despite the lack of threes against the Greyhounds, Vermont has been very accurate from long range, shooting 45.6 percent behind the arc with UMass transfer Matt Glass a sizzling 10-of-18 (.556).
• Senior forward Evan Fjeld is the Catamounts' leading scorer, averaging 21.6 points while shooting 65.2 percent from the floor.
• Vermont has enjoyed a slight rebounding advantage thus far with point forward Brian Voekel grabbing nine a game while dishing out an average of five assists as well.
• The Catamounts have had their share of difficulties hanging onto the ball, averaging over 18 turnovers a game while forcing less than 11. But their defense is more predicated on forcing poor shots as opponents are hitting just 38.6 percent from the floor and 27.0 percent on three-pointers.

Pick Six to Score
No less than six Big Green players scored in double figures in the 80-63 win over Colgate on Nov. 27, the first time even five players had tallied 10 or more in over three years (98-82 win over VMI on Nov. 10, 2007).
Weeden Not Wobbling
Dartmouth made a concerted effort to get senior Clive Weeden involved in the game early against Colgate, and it paid off. The co-captain responded with his third career double-double with 14 points (tying a career high) and 12 rebounds. The last double-double recorded by a Big Green player was Matt LaBove last Dec. 17 at Lehigh.
