NEW HAVEN, CONN. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team earned a 7-0 sweep of Sacred Heart in the first round of the ECAC Championships at Yale yesterday.
The Big Green started strong with the tandem of senior Dan Freeman (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) leading the way to the doubles point with an 8-1 win. Both No. 2 and No. 3 squads won their matches at 8-6.
In Singles, sophomore Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) finished off his opponent 6-0,6-1, while the other Dartmouth players persevered in their matches to bring home the match. Freeman's come-from-behind victory in a match tie break was the closest match, which came at the No. 1 slot.
In tomorrow's match the Green will face first seed Columbia at 4pm.
