Isaza Wins First Match at Harvard Halloween Invite

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. — On the first day of the Harvard Halloween Invite on Friday, the Dartmouth men's tennis team had three players compete with freshman Andrés Isaza (Bogotá, Colombia) advancing in the B Draw.
Isaza played Matt Pataro of Tufts in the opening round and won, 6-3, 7-5. He will face John Thorton of Harvard on Saturday. Also in the B Draw, junior Mike Jacobs (Oak Park, Ill.), the draw's top seed, lost to Brandon Parker of Harvard, 6-7, 6-2, 6-3.
In the A Draw, sophomore John Kelly (Charlottsville, Va.) lost to the second seed from Harvard, Dennis Nguyen, 6-3, 6-3.
The singles draws continue and the doubles draws begin on Saturday.
