Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at Dartmouth Shootout

HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team hosted the Dartmouth Shootout this past weekend with Williams and Middlebury coming to Hanover for the competition. The Shootout was played over three days with each team facing each other in singles and doubles.

Over the course of the weekend, the Big Green went a combined 13-4 in singles and 5-3 in doubles. In the singles competition, junior Alex de Chatellus (Tiburon, Calif.) earned the singles championship by going 3-0 in singles play, and only dropping one set. Sophomore John Kelly (Charlottesville, Va.) finished 2-0 in singles.

In doubles, junior Xander Centenari (Towson, Md.) led the way with a 3-0 record. He teamed with senior Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) for two of his victories and with senior Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) for the other.

On Sunday, Dartmouth recorded a perfect 7-0 record in singles and doubles. The Big Green compete at the ITA Northeast Regional starting Thursday, Oct. 13.
