DURHAM, N.H. — The throwers for the Dartmouth men's and women's track and field teams competed at New Hampshire on Saturday. The Big Green had multiple athletes throw personal and season bests.
In the women's weight throw, senior Christina Alexander (Austin, Texas) had a personal best of 16.12 meters (41-04.50 feet). Freshman Corinne Kominkiewicz (East Brunswick, N.J.) finished in fifth place with a throw of 13.07 meters (42-10.75 feet). Freshman Amanda Spoto (Staten Island, N.Y.) took sixth place with a lifetime best of 12.99 meters (42-07.50 feet).
The Big Green took the top three spots in the women's shot put. Spoto finished first with a throw of 12.89 meters (42-03.50). Alexander had a season-best throw of 12.61 meters (41-04.50 feet), which placed her second. Kominkiewicz took third at 12.01 meters (39-05.00 feet).
In the men's weight throw, senior David Irving (Manchester, N.H.) took first with a throw of 19.03 meters (62-05.25 feet). Junior Nick Resendes (Warwick, R.I.) finished fourth with a season-best throw of 15.46 meters (50-08.75 feet). Freshman Dom Filiano (Lebanon, N.H.) took fifth place with a throw of 15.33 meters (50-03.50 feet).
