HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 7 Dartmouth men's squash team began its day by traveling to Middlebury where the Big Green took an 9-0 victory. Later in the day, Dartmouth traveled back to Hanover and took an 8-1 win over Brown.
In the first match of the day, only three contests had to go past three games in the 9-0 win over the Panthers. Robbie Maycock (Devonshire, Bermuda) at No. 3 had to go to five games to defeat Parker Hurst. Maycock won the first game 11-6 before Hurst tied things up with an 11-8 win. After each traded 11-8 wins in games three and four, Maycock was able to rebound in the fifth game and win 11-6.
Luke Lee (Exeter, N.H.) at No. 5 battled Spencer Hurst, winning in four games. Lee took the first (11-6) before Hurst tied in the second (11-7). Lee won the third 11-9 and took the battle in game four, 12-10.
Alex Kurth (Tenafly, N.J.) at No. 8 also had to go to four games before eventually defeating Addison DiSea. Other winners against the Panthers were Chris Hanson (Greenwich, Conn.) at No. 1, Chris Jung (Seattle, Wash.) at No. 2, Michael Lewis (Santa Barbara, Calif.) at No. 4, Brian O'Toole (Short Hills, N.J.) at No. 6 and Stephen Wetherill (Ambler, Pa.) at No. 9.
In the second match of the day, the Big Green won its second Ivy match of the season with a sweep of Brown. Dartmouth won spots one through eight on the ladder to win its third game in a row.
Nick Sisodia (Chicago, Ill.) at No. 1, Jung at No. 2, Maycock at No. 3, Lewis at No. 4, Lee at No. 5, O'Toole at No. 6, Fletcher Pease (Cincinnati, Ohio) at No. 7 and Ted Schroder (Wynnewood, Pa.) at No. 8 were all victorious against the Bears.
Sisodia, Lewis, O'Toole and Pease all won their matches in three games as Dartmouth ended the season with an 11-6 overall record, 2-4 Ivy. The Big Green will be back in action Feb. 25-27 at the CSA Championships hosted by Harvard.
