HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team had its best performance of the year in a dominating 6-1 win over Boston College on Saturday at the Boss Tennis Center. The Big Green beat the Eagles after losing to BC the last two seasons.
The highlight of the day was junior Michael Laser's (Glencoe, Ill.) win over
Akash Muppidi at first singles. Muppidi finished last season ranked #84 in
the country in the ITA rankings. Four other Big Green players also earned victories in singles. Senior Curtis Roby (New York, N.Y.) won his third singles match, 6-2, 6-2. Freshman Cameron Ghorbani (Lexington, Mass.) cruised in fourth singles, 6-1, 6-1. Junior Chris Ho (Los Altos, Calif.) won in straight sets (6-2, 7-6) in fifth singles and freshman Brandon DeBot (Stevens Point, Wis.) won at sixth singles, 6-3, 6-2. Dartmouth earned the doubles' point by sweeping all three matches.
The Green are back in action Sunday afternoon against Sacred Heart. The match is at the Boss Tennis
Center at 2 p.m.
