Women's Golf Leads ECAC Championship After Opening Round

HILTON HEAD, S.C. — The Dartmouth women's golf team split into two teams and played a dual tournament against USC-Beaufort at Palmetto Hall in Hilton Head on Friday, with the Big Green “Green” team shooting a 327 to post the lowest team score on the day. Junior Heather Roland (Newtown Square, Pa.) and freshman Sarah Knapp (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) each carded a five-over 77 to win medalist honors for the tournament.

Also contributing to the “Green” score were sophmores Julie Campbell (Bozeman, Mont.) and Colleen Carroll (Bettendorf, Iowa) with an 86 (+14) and 87 (+15), respectively.

The “White” team finished with a 363 as senior Katie Gulemi (Fairfield, Conn.) led the group with an 88 (+16).

Dartmouth plays again in two weeks at the Brown Invitational on April 10-11.
