Plourde (9-10) allowed just three base runners in the opening game, all coming on walks. She struck out the first five batters and finished with her first no-hitter this season.
UMass tallied its lone run early in the game with a single and a sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the second.
Evan Gray (Edmond, Okla.) took the loss in the first game, going six innings with one run and four hits.
In game two Alexandra St. Romain (Chatham, N.J.) was the first Dartmouth player to reach base in the contest after she led off the sixth with a single. After Kara Curosh (Munster, Ind.) reached on a fielders choice, Hillary Barker (Duvall, Wash.) doubled to right-center to plate both runners and make it a 6-2 game.
Meghan Everett (Flemington, N.J.) walked to put two on with no outs, but Plourde came on in relief and struck out the side to end the threat in the sixth.
Kyllie Magill gave the Minutewomen a 2-0 lead in the second inning of game two with a two-out, two-run single that drove in two.
UMass started the fourth inning with three-straight singles to load the bases, but a leaping line drive snag by Britta McOmber (Bothell, Wash.) at third resulted in a double play that put the scoring threat in danger. Unfortunately the home team wasn't fazed, blasting a home run over the left field fence for a three-run homer, to make it a 5-0 game.
The Minutewomen made it 6-0 in the fifth with a single to right that knocked in a run before Barker was able to put Dartmouth on the scoreboard in the sixth.
Barker went the complete game in the nightcap with five earned runs and five strikeouts.
Dartmouth will be back in action this weekend with a full slate of Ivy League doubleheaders on tap. The Big Green travel to Columbia on Friday, April 1 and then Penn on Saturday, April 2.
