BOSTON, MASS. — The Dartmouth women's track and field team competed at the ECAC indoor track and field championship this past weekend and finished 11th. The Big Green finished with 23 points. Connecticut won the event with 96.5 points.
Dartmouth did most of its damage in the relays. In two different relays, the team had a quartet take second place. In the 4x800 relay, the combo of freshman Monica Adler (Manchester, Mass.), senior Andrea Imhof (San Francisco, Calif.), freshman Arianna Vailas (Manchester, N.H.) and junior Christina Supino (Windham, N.H.) crossed the finish line at 8:51.44 to take second. The team of Adler, senior Alexandra Tanner (Baltimore, Md.), Supino and Vailas finished in second in the distance medley relay at 11:24.62.
In the 3000 meters, freshman Abbey D'Agostino (Topsfield, Mass.) took fifth place at 9:36.62, and freshman Janae Dunchack (Northern Cambria, Pa.) was the other point winner for the Big Green by placing eighth in the pentathlon with 3398 points.
The team begins the outdoor season on March 25 at the Raleigh Relays.
