Freshman (2010-11): In her first season, she set a Dartmouth record in the 1,000 meters at the Valentine Invitational ... at the invitational, she finished with a time 2:49.41, which bested the previous mark of 2:49.56 ... was part of the distance medley relay team that set a school record at the Penn Relays with a time of 11:16.02.
Before Dartmouth: A four year letterwinner in cross country, and swimming at Manchester-Essex High school, she also lettered in sailing her freshman year ... was a three year letterwinner in cross country and track at Beverly High School ... in track, she attend the DII Championships, where she holds the DII record ... sophomore through senior year, she was named NEC All-star for cross country and track ... her senior year, she was named Boston Globe All-scholastic for indoor track ... outside of cross country and track, she is a National Honor Society inductee.
Personal: Monica Adler is the daughter of Arthur and Laura Adler and has one sister ... her sister Jenny is on the Sailing team at Brown University ... at Dartmouth, she is interested in studying medicine, and tutoring other students.

Q & A with Monica
Why Dartmouth?
I love the supportive community Dartmouth provides. There is such a close knit network of people more than willing to help everyone succeed both in the classroom and in athletics.
How long have you been running cross country and what got you interested in cross country?
I started running cross country in 8th grade because I didn't like field hockey and it was the only other middle school sport offered for girls. I immediately liked the kind, hard working team.
Have you won any academic or cross country awards recently?
I was named Boston Globe all-scholastic my senior year.
What are your future plans, if any?
I hope to graduate from Dartmouth with a degree in math or the sciences.
