SATURDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth field hockey team will play its last true home game of 2012 Saturday as it hosts Harvard at 1 p.m. as part of Homecoming. The Big Green come into the weekend alone in second place in the Ivy League standings after a 5-2 win last Sunday at Columbia.

SUNDAY'S GAME
Sunday's game, which was originally scheduled to be played in Durham, has now moved to Chase Field at 3 p.m. Technically, the game will be a home contest for the Wildcats with the scheduled 3 p.m. start time to remain the same. New Hampshire's Memorial Field is undergoing unscheduled renovations and is unable to host the game. Following the meeting of in-state rivals and in keeping with tradition, UNH will honor its fourth-year players as part of its scheduled Senior Day celebration.

SCOUTING HARVARD
The Crimson have had a rough go of it lately as they have lost their last five. Just 3-10 overall, Harvard is at the bottom of the Ivy standings with Brown and Yale at 1-4 in league games. The 17 goals allowed to conference opponents is also tied for the most this fall, while the five goals scored is two fewer than the next closest team. The lone win came at Brown with a late goal from Emma Keller in the 66th minute. Noel Painter leads the team in scoring with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Cynthia Tassopoulos has played 11 games in goal and has a 2.68 goals-against average for the Crimson.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE CRIMSON
Maya Herm scored the game's lone goal in the 50th minute as the Big Green defeated Harvard, 1-0, in Cambridge. Dartmouth dominated everywhere but the scoreboard in the game, outshooting the Crimson, 21-9, including 15-2 in the first half. The Big Green also held a distinct advantage in penalty corners, 8-3.

SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Wildcats have guaranteed themselves at least a share of their third straight America East regular season title and the top spot in the conference tournament with a 1-0 win over Boston University last weekend. Winners of three of their last four, the team comes into the game ranked 19th in the country. Led by Hannah Richard's 26 points and 11 goals, UNH is a potent offensive team with 48 goals this year. Carlie Tarbell has been the backbone of the team's defense, posting the 9-7 record and a 2.21 goals-against average.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE WILDCATS
Neither team was able to score in the first half of last season's meeting on Sept. 11 in Hanover. However, the defensive prowess of both squads did not carry over into the second half as there were a combined seven goals in UNH's 5-2 win to regain a slight edge in the all-time series between the two Granite State programs.

SITTING PRETTY
With just two Ivy games left on the schedule, the Big Green sit all alone in second place thanks to losses by Columbia and Cornell last weekend. Dartmouth took care of the Lions Sunday, 5-2, while Brown knocked off Cornell, 4-3, in double overtime Saturday in Providence. The three teams entered the weekend all tied at 3-1 with the Green and White the only one to come out unscathed.

SENIORS
Following Saturday's meeting with the Crimson, five members of the Dartmouth field hockey team will be honored for their contributions to the program for the last four years. The Class of 2013, consisting of Liz Blanken, Maya Herm, Lisa Masini, Samantha McPherson and Jenna Stearns, will join family members in an on-field ceremony celebrating their individual accomplishments as well as those of the program during their time in Hanover.

AGAIN? YEP, AGAIN
For the second week in a row, sophomore Ali Savage was named the Ivy League Player of the Week. She shared the honor this time around with Brown goalkeeper Shannon McSweeney. Savage earned the accolade this week for her four-goal performance against Vermont Wednesday at home and assisting on the game-winning goal against Columbia Sunday.

QUAGLIA MAKES IT COUNT
Junior defender Olivia Quaglia picked the perfect time to record her first career two-goal game when she found the back of the cage twice in Harlem. The Los Altos, Calif., native got her team on the board 4:21 into the game on a corner play and made it a 4-2 game on another corner with 12:36 left in the game. Known as one of the better offensive-defenders on the team and in the league, Quaglia's two-goal effort played a major role in helping Dartmouth take down its Ivy foe on the road.

WINNERS HAPPEN HERE
When the schedule says it is an Ivy League contest, you can usually count on senior co-captain Maya Herm to be in the mix. Herm now has four game-winning goals in her collegiate career with each coming against a league opponent. This season she has scored two winners, including Sunday's to break a 2-2 tie early in the second half.

ICING ON THE CAKE
After losing to Columbia last season, all but ending their hopes of claiming an Ivy League Championship, the Big Green looked to get some revenge on the Lions this past weekend. With time dwindling down and the game already in hand, junior Sam Anderson beat the home team's goalkeeper on a nice passing play from Lisa Masini on a fast break to make it a 5-2 game with just three seconds remaining. The three-goal win was one better than the 4-2 score Columbia left Hanover with last fall.

NON-CONFERENCE TILTS
Regardless of where the game is played on Sunday, the meeting with the Wildcats will be the final non-conference game of the season for the Green and White. A win would give Dartmouth a 6-4 record against non-Ivy teams in 2012, while a defeat will drop it to .500 on the season.

WHAT'S AHEAD?
The Big Green will make the trip to Ithaca next weekend to take on Cornell Saturday at noon. The Big Red currently sit tied for third in the league standings with Columbia at 3-2 and trail Dartmouth by just a game.
