CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Dartmouth men wrapped up the first weekend of the outdoor track & field season Saturday at UNC-Charlotte's 49er Classic. The meet, held at the Irwin Belk Track, was non-scoring.
Once again, the Big Green were led by freshman Edward Wagner in the 400-meter hurdles. Wagner ran to a third-place finish in the finals of the event, crossing the line in 53.72, an improvement on his 54.47 posted in Friday's preliminary heat that helped him advance.
The pole vault saw Big Green junior Josh Cyphers take 11th as
he cleared a height of 13-7.25/4.15m.
Sophomore Dom Filiano was fifth in the shot put Saturday. Filiano's first throw of the day stood as his best, traveling 51-5.50/15.68m.
Dartmouth will remain in the Tar Heel State for another week as it will compete in the High Point Invitational next Saturday.
